Golf Service Facility Building:

LCA selected to build Century’s stunning 4500 Square Foot Golf Service Facility building. This facility houses multiple functions including the Pro Shop, Staff Offices, a commercial kitchen, along with bag and equipment storage. Designed by Perkins Eastman Architects to closely resemble the original Clubhouse, the building incorporates many similar materials including “North Street Granite” that LCA was able to source from the same quarry that provided stone for the original clubhouse. Other materials include traditional three-coat stucco exterior, a limestone water table course and a slate roof with custom lead coated copper ventilators.
Additional features include blue stone and brick terraces, surrounded by a natural stone retaining walls and lush landscaping.

This project was commenced in the late fall and was completed and ready to be enjoyed by Century’s membership at the opening of the spring golf season.

Turf Maintenance Facility:

Situated adjacent to the first hole at Century Country Club, this 25,000 SF state of the art Turf Maintenance Facility (TMF) was constructed to enable Century to better maintain their exquisite golf course, designed and constructed in 1926 by the famous British architects H. S. Colt and C. H. Alison.

The building features a full-size basement constructed of cast in place concrete, with structural steel supported, reinforced concrete first floor. The basement level has vehicular access and clear span storage space. The building superstructure is a pre-engineered building manufactured by Butler Manufacturing comprised of rigid steel bents, girders, and spandrel beams. The exterior of the building features a split face CMU sill with a cast stone water table, stucco embossed metal wall siding with insulated wall panels and a standing seam metal roof and cupola.

Additional building features include offices, locker and break facilities for staff and employees as well as vehicle lifts for servicing of equipment.

Adjacent to the TMF is the Environmental Building which houses chemical storage facilities, and the Carbatrol system; an EPA approved water treatment and recycle system that treats wastewaters generated by the washing of turf maintenance vehicles and chemical application equipment.
